FoodLoose, the zero waste refill shop to reduce plastic waste

The business in question is called FoodLoose, and was set up in December 2018. Its mission is to reduce the amount of plastic waste that eventually ends up in landfill sites across the country.

The concept is very similar to the Weigh and Save type of shops that you see sometimes in the high street, in the past or present. Some of the products on offer are grains, cereals, nuts, coffee and tea, oils, herbs and beauty products.

By shopping at FoodLoose you are voting for a better environment and future reducing plastic waste and saving materials and resources. In this world resources are limited. And plastic waste threatens sea lives and ground water and humans.

The refill shop focuses on the organic and sustainable produce to reduce waste in your daily shop. Bring your containers or a paper bag on us for refill of a variety of dry foods, household cleaners, kitchenware and beauty products.

The organised shopper can use drop and collect service. You can shop plastic free at FoodLoose online shop, either collect in store or have your shopping delivered to your door.

The shops are run mostly by volunteer staff who believe that this revolutionary way of shopping can reduce plastic waste to landfill and also support a sustainable environmental effect around agriculture, and promote ethical working practices.
